Joseph Lynn Brickman, 61, of Quincy, passed away at 12:42 pm (May 29, 2018) in his home.

Born December 24, 1956 in Quincy, Joseph was the son of Merlin and Shirley Cary Brickman.

He proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Joseph was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and was an avid Cardinal Baseball and Dallas Cowboys fan. He enjoyed going fishing, being outdoors, listening to Rock and Roll music on KSHE 95 and vintage cars, with the Plymouth Roadrunner being his most favorite. Joseph would often say "that's a badass tune" and "I have forgotten more than most people know!"

Mr. Brickman was employed at Hilbing Auto Body doing detail work.

Joseph was a loving father and would do anything he could to help someone in need even if they were a stranger. He leaves behind four children, Jacob Brickman, Connor Brickman, Katherine Wells (Brad) and Miranda Bliss (Gabrielle) all of Quincy; three grandchildren, Jensen, Jaxon and Jace; two brothers, Terry Brickman of MO and Scott Brickman (Andrea) of Marinette, WI; and two sisters, Vicky Shubert (Steve) of Quincy and Cheryl Hainline (Nelson) of Bowling Green, MO.

Joseph was preceded in death by his father, Merlin Brickman.

Cremation has been accorded to Joseph. The family will host a celebration of Joseph's life Saturday afternoon (June 9, 2018) at 1:30 in the Siloam Springs State Park.

Memorials may be made to The Crossing Church Celebrate Recovery Program.
