LARRY DALE CAMDEN SR.
Larry Dale Camden Sr., 67, of Quincy, passed away at 3:17 pm Friday (August 31, 2018) in the Iowa University Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa.
Born December 21, 1950 in Carrolton, Illinois, Larry was the son of Radious and Elsie Wilkins Camden.
Larry proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, hunting, gardening, being outdoors and people watching.
Larry was employed as a truck driver for over 30 years for various trucking companies in the Quincy area.
Survivors include his ex-wife and best friend, Donna Powell of Quincy; four sons, Steve Camden (Mary Jo) of Potosi, MO, Larry Camden Jr. (Leslie) of Alexander City, AL, Randy Camden (Becky) of Perryville, MO and Rodney Camden of Potosi, MO; ten grandchildren, Cody, Cameron, Caden, Mercedes, Zackary, Kylei, Dane, Hunter, Dawson and Alexa Camden; two step sons, Jason Powell (Kathy) of Quincy and Ryan Russell Powell (Jody) of IN; four step grandchildren, Jackson Dolbeare, Riley, Ryder and Remy Powell; one step great grandson, Kyeson Dolbeare; and a sister, Minnie Buss of Quincy.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers.
Cremation rites have been accorded to Larry. A memorial graveside service with Military Honors by the Illinois National Guard Funeral Honors Detail and the Quincy American Legion Post No. 37 will be held Friday morning at 10:00 in Sunset Cemetery at the Illinois Veterans Home.
