LARRY J. HAMILTON
Larry J. Hamilton, 74, of Quincy, formerly of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, died Sunday (October 9, 2016) due to a motorcycle accident.
Larry was born March 26, 1942, in Cottonport, Louisiana. He married Janet Ellis on March 26, 1994, in Corpus Christi, Texas and she survives.
Larry served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a 1960 graduate of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, High School, where he played football. Larry was a member of the Harley Owners Group, the ABATE Motorcycle Club and was an LSU Tigers, Denver Broncos and Dallas Cowboys football fan. He enjoyed computers, playing cards on the computer, boating, motorcycle riding, watching old Westerns, playing with his dog Jay Bird and spending time with his family.
Larry was employed as an Electrical Technician in Corpus Christi, Texas, for a Pharmaceutical Company for over 15 years, until his retirement.
Survivors include his wife, Janet; his daughter, Robin Milton of Ft. Worth, TX; his step daughter, Monique Larroux of Nashville, TN; four grandchildren, Matthew Milton of Baton Rouge, LA, Kristi Aguilar (A. J.) of Denver, CO, and Emily Milton and Lauren Milton both of Ft. Worth, TX; and one great grandchild on the way in March.
Cremation Rites have been accorded. Graveside services will be held Monday morning (October 24, 2016) at 10:00 in Sunset Cemetery with Pastor Steve Disseler officiating. Military Honors will be conducted by the Quincy American Legion Post No. 37 and the United States Air Force Funeral Honors Guard.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) or the River Road Chapter of the Harley Owners Group of Quincy.
