Mrs. Lois G. Seifert, 94, of Quincy, passed away at 1:50 a.m. Friday (October 3, 2014) in Quincy.
Born October 24, 1919 in Ursa, Illinois, Lois was the daughter of Levi and Hazel Yenter Smith. She married Charles W. Seifert on January 31, 1942 in Palmyra, Missouri. He preceded her in death on August 19, 1992.
Lois had been a member of the Ursa Christian Church and the Blessing Hospital 10 Year Plus Club. She loved shopping, Bingo, playing cards with friends and family and tending to her garden. She will be remembered as an excellent baker, especially for Grandma Yenter's chocolate cake.
Lois was employed for 19 years in central supply at Blessing Hospital until her retirement.
Survivors include three sons, Robert "Bob" Seifert (Sue) of McNabb, IL, Randy Seifert (Kris) of Quincy and Kent Seifert (Debby) of Quincy; six grandchildren, Kelly Seifert, Kara Mester (Jordan), Kassi Seifert, Lauren Seifert, Erica Nichols and Kristin Nichols; and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles; two brothers, Bill Davis and Ben Smith (Fern); and two sisters, Imogene Lewis (Frank) and Betty Warning (Russell).
Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 11:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by Pastor Steve Disseler. Burial will be in New Providence Cemetery in Ursa.
Visitation will be Tuesday morning from 9:00 until the time of services at the funeral home.
