Lori King, 57, of Mendon, died at 9:53 a.m. Sunday (January 24, 2016) in Blessing Hospital.
Born November 18, 1958 in Peoria, Illinois, Lori was the daughter of Robert Burnett and Geneva Taylor.
Lori loved tending her plants and tinkering with her car. She had a heart for all animals and enjoyed caring for all of her "critters". Lori will be remembered as being resourceful, crafting and building many different items with whatever she had available.
Lori's greatest love was her family and the time she spent with them.
Survivors include three children, Lillian "Lilly" Howser (Dennis) of Quincy, Robert "Rob" Burnette (Sarah Crabill) of Delta, CO and Crickit King of Quincy; three grandchildren, Raven Fielding, Cloe Howser and Phoebe Mosley all of Quincy; her significant other, Don Foster of Knoxville, IL; four brothers, Jamie Burnett and Jonathan Burnett both of Tioga, IL, Simon Burnett and Bruce Burnett (Debbie) both of Quincy; a sister, Teresa Staff (Mark) of Tioga, IL; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Lori was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Viola Marie Hurst; and a brother, Bill Burnett.
Cremation has been accorded to Lori. The family will meet with friends to celebrate Lori's life on Wednesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 at the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home in Quincy.
Memorials may be made to the Blessing Cancer Center or the Quincy Humane Society.
