MARC A. HOLLEMBEAK
Marc Arthur Hollembeak, 64, of Quincy died at 1:00 p.m. Thursday (January 28, 2016) in his home.
Born May 4, 1951 in Quincy, Marc was the son of Perry Stanley and Mary Lee Seeley Hollembeak. He married Rebecca "Becky" Likes in Quincy on May 15, 1971.
Marc was a member of the Latter Day Saints Church. He graduated from Wentworth Military Academy in Lexington, MO in 1969. He then attended college and joined the ROTC program.
He enjoyed reading, and loved all kinds of animals. His passion was doing photography and he sometimes sold his art work.
Marc owned and operated a Ready Mix Company in Havana for 20 years. He later drove a truck for a Ready Mix Company in Phoenix and Flagstaff, Arizona and retired as a dispatcher for a Ready Mix Company in Phoenix.
Survivors include his two sons, James Perry Hollembeak of Chicago and Benjamin Arthur Hollembeak of Eloy, AZ; two sisters, Marsha Loos and Charla Snowden both of Quincy; a sister-in-law, Christine Schaller of Anderson, IN; four nieces, Kim Shaffer, Kandy Chatten (Craig), Jessica Patel (Alok) all of Quincy, and Ann Nickelson (Dustin) of Anderson, IN; two nephews, Eric Snowden of San Francisco, CA and R.P. Schaller of Oklahoma City, OK. Also surviving are five great nephews, three great nieces and his dog Southpark Charlie.
Mr. Hollembeak was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law Donald P. Schaller.
A private family memorial service will be held at the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home at a later date.
