MARK A. BRINKS
Mark Anthony Brinks 56, of Quincy, passed away Saturday (August 3, 2019) at Memorial Hospital in Springfield, Illinois.
Born June 3, 1963 in Quincy, Mark was the son of Paul Edward and Judy Terry Brinks.
Mark enjoyed drawing, motorcycles, going to garage sales and working on houses. Mark loved making others laugh and will be remembered for his sense of humor and his soft heart for animals, and people in need. Mark was devoted to his family and loved his children and grandchildren.
A graduate of Quincy High School, Mark was self employed in construction and remodeling with his company, Brinks Home Improvement. He was proud of the construction work he performed and considered his work as his art.
Survivors include his mother, Judy Brinks of Quincy; his significant other, Patty Ammons of Springfield, IL; two sons, Jason Brinks (Shanna) and children Jaxon and Isla Brinks of Payson, IL; Ryan Brinks (Racheal) and son Brooks Brinks of Payson, IL; a brother, Steven Brinks (Sharon) of Wichita, KS; a sister, Lisa Balzer (Rob) of Camp Point, IL; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Mark was preceded in death by his father, Paul Brinks.
Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 11:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home with Pastor Jason Sommerfeldt officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday evening from 4:00 to 6:00 and Saturday morning from 10:30 until the time of services at the funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the Quincy Humane Society.
