MARK RONALD HINTON
Mark R. Hinton, 64, of New Haven, Connecticut, formerly of Quincy, Illinois, passed away on Saturday (October 21, 2017) in the St. Raphael Campus of Yale New Haven Hospital in New Haven, Connecticut.
Born August 14, 1953 in Quincy, Mark was the son of Ronald P. and Patricia Dailing Hinton. Mark shared the past 18 years of his happy life with his partner Billy Collins.
Mark loved life and was the life of every party. He enjoyed traveling, dancing, Sunday family dinners, and cooking his Grandma Frances* Mac and Cheese. His greatest joy was spending time with and talking about his children.
Mark worked with his family at Hinton Truck Sales and Town and Country Manufactured Homes in Quincy until he moved to New Haven, Connecticut in 2000. In Connecticut, Mark was a Mortgage Broker for Anthony DiCaprio Mortgage Company until health issues made it too difficult to work. After his retirement in 2005, Mark took over the management of Fountain Hills Condominium Association as President until approximately two years ago.
In addition to his devoted partner, Billy Collins, Mark is survived by his son, Lukas Hinton of Quincy; his daughter, Lindsay Holtschlag (Joe) of Quincy; his mother, Patricia Hinton of Quincy; his three sisters, Lisa McDonald (Dominic) and Lori Kenady (Max Houston) both of Quincy and Shari Harberts of Waukee, IA. He also leaves his five nephews, Shawn McDonald (Jackie), Quinn McDonald (Amanda Donahoe), Aaron McDonald (Nicole), Devin McDonald (Charlene) and John Harberts (Dawn) and his three nieces, Natalie Kenady Entrup, Elizabeth Kenady and Nicole Long (Trip); as well as many great nieces, great nephews and cousins. Of his family in Connecticut, he leaves Fred and Emma Barone, John & Natalie Lawlor, Deborah and Jason Esposito and many good friends throughout the country.
Mark was preceded in death by his father, Ronald P. Hinton; brother, Gary Hinton; and brother in law, Steve Harberts.
Cremation has been accorded to Mark. Services to celebrate Mark's life will be held Saturday (November 11, 2017) at 2:00 pm in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home. Inurnment will be in Greenmount Cemetery.
Visitation will be Saturday (November 11, 2017) from12:00 Noon until the time of services at the funeral home.
