Martha E. "Patty" Lefringhouse, 77, of Quincy, died at 1:08 p.m. Wednesday (June 1, 2016) in her home.
Born July 30, 1938 in Quincy, Patty was the daughter of Edward H. and Martha E. Mewes Hagenbaumer. She married Edward "Ed" Lefringhouse on February 8, 1975 in Quincy. He survives.
Patty was a member of Payson Congregational United Church of Christ. She was actively involved in the Illinois Masonic CHIPS Program. Patty enjoyed playing cards with family and friends, solving puzzles, and bowling. Patty loved the outdoors, fishing and camping at Whispering Oaks Campground and she especially loved being there with her three granddaughters.
A 1956 graduate of Quincy High School, Patty was employed as a sales clerk for Mid West Pool Company for several years until her retirement in 2001.
Survivors include her husband Ed Lefringhouse; a daughter, Lisa Ann Spoonmore (Matt) of Overland Park, KS; three granddaughters, Madison Spoonmore, Natalie Spoonmore and Sophie Spoonmore all of Overland Park, KS; two brothers, Edward "Ed" Hagenbaumer (Barb) of Quincy and Kenneth Hagenbaumer (Cindy) of Naperville, IL; three sisters, Norma Seward of Payson, IL, Donna Wittler (Byron) of Quincy and Marilyn Steighhorst of Hillsboro, MO; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Patty was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter in infancy, Julie Ann Lefringhouse; a nephew, Ted Hagenbaumer; and two brothers in law, Dick Seward and Gene Steighorst.
Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10:30 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Disseler officiating.
Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 3:00 to 6:00 and Monday morning until the time of services at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Blessing Cancer Center.
