Mr. Marty McKinney, 50, of Quincy died at 3:06 a.m. Sunday (September 2, 2012) in his home.
Born November 27, 1961 in Quincy, he was the son of Bill and Emily Jarvis McKinney Sr. He married Carrie McKinney on July 29, 2010 in Quincy. She survives.
He enjoyed target shooting, working on his truck, watching old movies on TV and having fun and making jokes with his friends. Most of all he loved playing with his children.
He was employed at a night club in Quincy for over 15 years until his retirement.
Survivors include his Father, Bill Sr of Springfield, IL.; a son, Mickey V. McKinney of Quincy; two daughters, Martha Hart of TN and Angel Baker-McKinney of Quincy; two step daughters, Briana Pearl and Marissa Pearl both of Quincy; three grandchildren, Logan Hart and Americus Hart both of TN and Parker McKinney of Quincy. Also surviving are two nieces April and Samantha McKinney both of Quincy.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Emily Bolt and a brother, Billy McKinney Jr.
Cremation rights have been accorded, Graveside services will be held Friday at 3:00 p.m. in Greenmount Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Marty McKinney Memorial Fund.
