MARY L. "SIS" THOMPSON
Mary L. "Sis" Thompson, 95, of Hidden Lake Senior Apartments, Saint Louis, Missouri died at 2:45 p.m. Sunday (April 29, 2012) at Life Care Center of Florissant, Missouri.
Born June 10, 1916 on the family farm near Payson, Illinois, Mary was the daughter of Christian and Wilhelmina Speckhart Kaiser. She first married Robert Hall and he preceded her in death. She then married Chuck Thompson on October 6, 1988 and he preceded her in death.
Sis was a member of the Immanuel United Church of Christ. She and Chuck enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
Mrs. Thompson was a Registered Nurse for several years retiring in 1988.
Survivors include her daughter, Christine Struble; step children, Bruce Thompson (Freddie), David Thompson (Sue) and Lucinda Otte (Larry); a sister Doris Richmond and many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands; two brothers, Harold Kaiser and his wife Louise, Marion Kaiser and his wife Alice; a brother in law, Jack Richmond.
Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10:30 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Higgins officating. Burial will be in the Bluff Hall Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 4:00 until 6:00 in the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Bluff Hall Church or the Immanuel United Church of Christ in Ferguson, Missouri.
