Myrna Wheelock, 76, of Quincy, died at 7:20 pm Tuesday (April 7, 2015) in Blessing Hospital.
Born November 13, 1938 in Quincy, Myrna was the daughter of Daniel and Zanna May Gosney Frieden. She married Robert Norman Wheelock on April 9, 1960 in Quincy. He preceded her in death on February 28, 2013.
Myrna was devoted to her family and enjoyed collecting Precious Moments figurines.
Myrna loved her work. She was employed as a Secretary and Receptionist for various business and medical offices in Quincy over the years. More recently, she was a receptionist for Dr. Merritt Quade and later began caring for Mrs. Quade as home health care worker.
Survivors include four daughters, Becky Wheelock Williams and Danette Koyer both of Quincy, Bobbi Roberts (Bryan) of Liberty, IL and Loree Burwinkel (Brian) of Payson, IL; five grandchildren, Cody Koyer (Kara), Drew Burwinkel, Charles Wheelock, Ciara Wheelock and Christina Daniel (John); five great grandchildren, Kayden Koyer, Bailee Wheelock, Alyssa Daniel, Aubrie Daniel and Joseph Daniel; three brothers, Richard Frieden (Lynn), Gary Frieden and Mark Frieden; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Myrna was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert; and twin grandsons, Ricky Paul Koyer and Shawn Robert Koyer.
Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10:30 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev. Tom Rains. Burial will be in Quincy Memorial Park.
Visitation will be Sunday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 and Monday morning until the time of services at the funeral home.
