Mrs. Norma Ellerbrock, 93, of Bickford Cottage, formerly of 1532 Granview Drive, Quincy, died at 9:45 a.m. Thursday (May 30, 2013) in Bickford Cottage.
Born April 14, 1920 in Quincy, Norma was the daughter of Henry A. and Jenny Rupp Dix. She married Eugene Ellerbrock on May 15, 1943 in Hannibal, Missouri. He preceded her in death on February 7, 1982.
Norma was a member of Salem Evangelical United Church of Christ and the Eagles Auxiliary. She loved Big Band music and attending dances throughout the area.
Norma devoted her life to raising her family and later in life was employed in the Housekeeping Department at St. Mary Hospital for 10 years.
Survivors include two daughters, Diane Jones (Ken)of Quincy and Kay Foust (Bill) of Madison, S.D.; two grandsons, Jason Felsman (Michele) of Baton Rouge, LA and Kevin Bjarko of Tuscon, AZ; four step grandchildren, Jacque O'Connor (Michael) of Schwenksville, PA, Jeff Jones (Becky) of LaGrange, MO, Chris Jones (Lindsey) of Quincy and Katie Foust of Tuscon, AZ; three great grandchildren, Taylor Felsman, Jake Felsman and Parker Felsman; and many loving step great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Ellerbrock was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene; a brother, Donald Dix; and two sisters, Irma Burgtorf and Millie Bordewick.
Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 11:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by Pastor Steve Disseler. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday morning from 10:00 until the time of services at the funeral home.
