PAULINE K. WOOLDRIDGE
Mrs. Pauline K. Wooldridge,97 , of Tucson, Arizona formerly of Quincy died at 9:15 a.m. Sunday (August 25, 2013) in her home.
Born June 14, 1916 in Quincy, Pauline was the daughter of Robert E. and Clara Koesyan Lamb. She married Warren Hecteman in 1937, he preceded her in death in 1950. She then married James "Jim" Wooldridge in 1982, he preceded her in death in 2007.
Pauline was a long time active member of Salem Evangelical United Church of Christ, serving as President of Woman's Afternoon and Evening Guilds, Junior Department Sunday School Superintendent and teacher and a longtime member of the church quilting and sewing groups. She played the piano and organ for a variety of church functions for many years. Her passions were music, quilting, embroidery and traveling. She attended the Quincy public schools and was a graduate of Gem City Business College.
Mrs. Wooldridge was employed for 31 years at Moorman's Manufacturing Company starting out in the Stenographic Department, for five years, and spent the remainder of her career,at Moorman's,as Secretary toPublic Relations Manager O. W. "Randy" Randolph and later Public Relations Manager Chuck Bearden.
Survivors include her daughter, Judy Hill and son-in-law Jack Hill of Tucson, Az; grandson, Mark Hildreth of Tampa, Florida; five great grandchildren, Zechariah Hildreth, Shanna Hildreth Stultz, Casey Hildreth, Katy Protsman, Jake Protsman, nieces, Mary Alice Cleve, Barbara Jean Rose, Kathy Bowers, Sue Poarch, Janet Swearingen,nephew Robert Yaap and Tim and Dianne Wooldridge of Durham, N. C.
She was preceded in death by her parents;granddaughter, Christine Hildreth Oyler; sisters, Virginia Carroll and Edna Yaap.
Graveside services will be held Thursday at 1:00p.m. in Greenmount Cemetery with Pastor Steve Disseler officiating.
There will be no visitation but family and friends are invited to attend graveside services.
Memorials may be made to the Tucson Medical Center Hospice.
