PAULINE M. WALKER
Pauline M. Walker, 69, of Quincy, died at 4:15 p.m. Saturday (March 25, 2017) in Good Samaritan Home.
Born August 20, 1947 in Fairfield, California, Pauline was the daughter of John and Margaret Juarez. She married Richard R. Walker on May 12, 1978 in Burlington, Iowa. He survives.
Pauline attended Bethel Assembly of God Church. She loved working with her hands, quilting, sewing, plastic canvas and anything with arts and crafts. She loved animals and had a soft spot in her heart for her pet dogs, cats and iguanas.
Pauline was devoted to her family and loved spending time with them. She was employed as a CNA for several years at local nursing home until health issues forced her retirement from St. Vincent's Home.
Survivors include her husband, Richard; four children, James Helmick (Jamie) of Washington, IA, Donna Helmick of Quincy, John Helmick of Burlington, IA and Russell Poland (Tina) of Burlington, IA; ten grandchildren; six siblings, John ,Frank, Gabby, Raymond, Judy and Carol; her in father in law and mother in law, Kenneth and Betty Walker of Quincy; two sisters in law, Karen Hainline (Jerry) of Quincy and Sheila Hastings; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents; a sister in law, Debbie Clifton; and a brother in law, Terry Hastings.
Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 10:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home with Pastor Keith Garner officiating. Burial will be in New Providence Cemetery in Ursa, Illinois.
Visitation will be Friday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 and Saturday morning from 9:30 until the time of services at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the family to help with expenses.
