PHILIP W. STOERMER
Philip W. Stoermer, 74, of Quincy, died at 2:15 p.m. Saturday (December 19, 2015) at Sunset Home.
Born July 5, 1941 in Quincy, Philip was the son of Frank P. and Bettie M. Graham Stoermer Jr. On November 4, 1961 Philip married Judy Ann Kemper at Trinity United Church of Christ in Quincy. She survives.
Philip graduated from Quincy High School with the class of 1960 and was a member of the Machinist Union Local No. 47. He enjoyed league bowling, walking, reading, working outside and watching sports on TV; especially the Rams and Bears football games.
Philip was employed at the Water Department for the City of Quincy for 23 years until his retirement in 2003.
He is survived by wife, Judy; a daughter, Joy Lynn Spilker (Ronald) of Quincy; a son, Michael S. Stoermer (Tracy) of Quincy; four grandchildren, Brianna Spilker, Kenneth Rawlings, Raiden Stoermer, and Dalton Stoermer all of Quincy.
Philip was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Philip Gregory Stoermer.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 10:30 at the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home with Pastor Tim White officiating. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Tuesday morning from 9:30 until the time of services at 10:30.
Memorials may be made to the Haven at Sunset Home or Trinity United Church of Christ.
