ROBERT H. "BOB" GOODWIN
Mr. Robert "Bob" Goodwin, 73, of Quincy died at 8:05 p.m. Saturday (September 28, 2013) in his home.
Born October 5, 1939 in Marblehead, Illinois, he was the son of Robert Fred Goodwin and Mildred Miller Goodwin McPike.
Bob attended Quincy High School. He enjoyed fishing, shooting pool, playing darts, barbecues and spending time with his family. He played the guitar in several local bands and loved listening to and writing music. He served his country in the United States Navy.
Bob had been employed as a barge worker then at Master Tank for several years.
Survivors include; three daughters, Tonja Kay Lang (John), Kathy Inman (Sam) both of Quincy and Darla Ohnemus (Virgil) of Fowler; two sons, Robert Kevin Goodwin of Loraine and Charles Eric Goodwin Selsor (Stephanie)of Fairview Hights, IL ; twelve grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two sisters, Marion Shepherd of Quincy and Patricia Rowsey (J.T.) of Quincy and several loving nieces and nephews.
Mr Goodwin was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Deanna Goodwin.
Graveside services will be held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 in Greenmount Cemetery with Pastor Chuck Sackett officiating. The Illinois National Guard Funeral Detail will conduct Military Honors at the graveside.
There will be no visitation but family and friends are invited to attend the graveside services.
Memorials may be made to the Robert H. Goodwin memorial fund.
