ROBIN L. SHARPE
Robin L. Sharpe, 72, of Ewing, Missouri, passed away at 6:35 am Thursday (November 16, 2017) in her home.
Born July 11, 1945 in Pasadena, California, Robin was the daughter of Orlo and Myrle Maude Muller Carpenter. She married James E. Sharpe on August, 18, 1963 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He preceded her in death on October 24, 2013.
Robin enjoyed cooking, going to Las Vegas and camping in the desert. She also liked going to the beach when she lived in California. Robin loved spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren. She really liked talking on the telephone and being with her loyal companion her dog Minnie.
Robin had been employed at Hy-Vee in the Kitchen Department for several years until her retirement.
Survivors include her daughter Melissa C. Meredith (Mike) of Ewing, MO; her son Gregory J. Sharpe (Lessly) of Quincy; eight grandchildren, Leaha K. Jones (Michael) of Chatham, IL, Kayla E. Klauser (Evan) of Quincy, James M. Meredith of Ewing, MO, Carrie C. Kimbrell of Quincy, Taylor J. Kimbrell, Kaitlyn M. Kimbrell, Jenna M. Meredith and Brayden M. Meredith all of Ewing, MO; five great grandchildren, Ella K. Jones, Molly M. Jones, Lillian J. Jones all of Chatham, IL, Rylie A. Klauser and Jaxon M. Klauser both of Quincy; two sisters Nancy Golding of San Pedro, CA and Jennifer Kay (Traverse) of Corona, CA; her brother in law Kenneth Pinckney of Walnut, CA; two sisters in law, Carolyn Gooder and Sherry Sharpe both of Roseville, CA; her mother in law Dorothy Sharpe of Roseville, CA. Also surviving several loving nieces and nephews, including those close to home, a niece Cheri L. Miss and two nephews, Jeffrey W. Strang (Angela) and Michael "Carolina" Gooder.
Robin was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, Donna Nixon, Geneva Miller, Mathel Redick and Sharon Pinckney.
A graveside service will be held Monday morning at 11:00 in Greenmount Cemetery with Pastor Wayne LaForce officiating. Visitation will be held Monday morning from 9:30 until 10:45 at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Sunset Home or to Hospice of North East Missouri.
