Rosemary Drummond, 64, of Quincy died at 5:40 a.m. Sunday (April 28, 2013) in Blessing Hospital.
Born February 16, 1949 in Quincy she was the daughter of Louis and Fern McKay Drummond.
Rosemary was a 1967 graduate of Quincy High School and a member and leader of the Red Hat Ladies. She enjoyed cooking, reading and baking. She especially loved taking care of her two pet cats Pepper and Little One.
She was first employed at Kirlins while in high school and later employed as a sales clerk at Bergners Department Store in the Children and Domestic Departments for thirty years until her retirement. She also sold Avon for several years.
Survivors include; one niece, Judy Emery (Tom) of Quincy; three nephews, Allen Gille (Glenda) Jimmie Gille (Cheryl) and Leo Gille (Judy) all of Quincy; two sisters-in-law, Catherine Drummond and Lenora Drummond both of Quincy and one half sister, Marjorie Crabtree of Quincy. Also surviving are several other nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents; five half brothers, Lawrence Gille and John Gille Jr., Donald, Harold Lee and Charles Drummond.
Graveside services will be held Thursday afternoon at 1:45 in Greenmount Cemetery with Pastor Tom Rains officiating.
Visitation will be held Thursday afternoon from 12:30 until 1:30 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the Quincy Humane Society.
