SANDRA L. MEYER
Sandra Lee Meyer, 75, of Quincy, died at 2:20 p.m. Saturday (July 4, 2015) in her home.
Born September 1, 1939 in Ewing, Missouri, Sandra was the daughter of Elmer and Edna Myers Smith. On August 30, 1969 Sandra married Terry M. Meyer in Quincy, Illinois. He survives.
Sandra was a member of the Harris 25th Century Club. She enjoyed dancing, playing cards, traveling, going to the casinos, playing basketball with her family and pitching horseshoes. She was an avid bowler, having gone to the state tournment several times. She especially loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Sandra was employed at Motorola until its closing. She then worked at the Harris Corporation for 30 years until her retirement.
Survivors include her husband, Terry M. Meyer of Quincy; three sons, Kevin D. McCracken (Patty) of Steffenville, MO, Terry M. Meyer Jr of Quincy, and Ray Meyer (Radelle) of Ursa; two daughters, Tammy D. Meyer of Quincy and Tina M. Wiseman (Martin) of Monticello, MO; ten grandchildren, Jesse H. McCracken (Lauren) of Denver, CO, Josie L.McCracken of Steffenville, MO, Chase M. Meyer of Quincy, Skyler R. Lippert of Ewing, MO, Marti J. Wiseman of St. Louis, MO, Chevie M. Wiseman of Canton, MO, Dannicka R. Wiseman of Monticello, MO, Elaina R. Meyer of Ursa, IL, Daine L. Meyer of Ursa, IL and a special granddaughter Cortney L. Meyer of Houston, TX who was raised in Terry and Sandra's home; four great grandchildren, Lilana Meyer, LaSandra Meyer, Cohen Lay, and Kayler Lippert; and four sisters, Betty Lou Avery of Canton, MO, Millie Humphrey (Ron) of Quincy, Patty Ann Sprinkle of Quincy and Diana Schlueter of Knox City, MO.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Corey Meyer; and two brothers, Ronald J. Smith and Francis Dale Smith.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 11:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home with Monsignor Michael Kuse officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 and Wednesday morning until the time of services at the funeral home.
