SHARON K. (REDNER) DAILING
Sharon K. (Redner) Dailing, 69, of Quincy, passed away peacefully, holding her husband's hand, at 11:07 p.m. Saturday (June 17, 2017) in her home surrounded by her family.
Born November 5, 1947 in Quincy, Sharon was the daughter of George E. Redner II and Matilda K. Smith Redner. She married Robert "Bob" Dailing on June 6, 2000 in Quincy. He survives.
Sharon was a member of Rocky Point Club. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and friends, fishing, watching game shows, solving seek-a-word puzzles, feeding the birds and squirrels in her yard and was a huge Alan Jackson fan. Family was most important to Sharon and she especially enjoyed the time she spent with them, including her cats "Friday Boy" and "Saturday Girl".
Sharon was employed at Motorola until their closing. She then was a cook at various establishments in the Quincy area, including The Black Angus, Cheerful Home and Days Inn.
Survivors include her husband, Bob; two brothers, George E. Redner III (Pamela) of Quincy and Donald E. "Butch" Redner of Quincy; two daughters, Dawn Masterson (Steve) of Lawrenceville, GA and Lori Dreyer (Richard) of Muscatine, IA; a son, Kenny Ewalt of Champaign, IL; a step daughter, Terry Brinkman (Mark Clifton) of Quincy; a step son, Randy Dailing (Carol) of St. Louis, MO; four grandchildren, Cody Masterson, Riley Masterson, Kaitlyn Constonis and Mack Bertoni; four step grandchildren, Paige Wellman (Blake), Austin Brinkman (Krissy), Taylor Dailing and Megan Dailing; a great granddaughter, Lily Constonis; a step great grandson, Lake Matthew Brinkman; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 10:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Disseler officiating. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 and Thursday morning from 9:30 until the time of services at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Blessing Foundation for Hospice or the Quincy Humane Society.
