Carol Sue Dulaney, 70, of Quincy, died at 9:54 a.m. Monday (October 16, 2017) in her home.
Born October 27, 1946 in Quincy, Sue was the daughter of Lyle and Darl Mayfield Witt. She was married to Wilfred L. Baker who preceded her in death. She married Donald E. Dulaney on August 8, 1998 in Kirksville, Missouri. He preceded her in death on January 30, 2010.
Sue was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and played piano for church services and many funerals over the years. Music was a passion and Sue loved to sing, play the piano and attend symphony orchestra concerts and religious concerts. She was also a Nascar fan and loved caring for her pet dog "Bella".
Sue worked various jobs in her life before becoming and Independent Rural Newspaper Carrier for the Quincy Herald Whig for many years until her retirement. She later worked part time at the Broadway Hy-Vee where she was able to see many of her friends.
Survivors include her daughter, Susan Smith (Darren Smith) of Quincy; her son, Doug Baker (Tali) of Rantoul, IL; six grandchildren, Evan Baker, John Baker, Willa Baker, Jentry Baker, Jackson Smith and Harrison Smith; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; and a sister, Carmen Taylor.
Family and friends are invited to a memorial visitation to celebrate Sue's life on Monday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 at the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home.
