Virginia A. "Ginny" Landwehr, 90, of the Good Samaritan Home, formerly of 2104 Adams in Quincy, died at 10:05 a.m. Wednesday (April 15, 2015) in Good Samaritan Home.
Born July 26, 1924 in Quincy, Ginny was the daughter of George and Ruth Horbelt Juette. She married William "Bill" Landwehr on January 29, 1944 in Quincy. He preceded her in death on April 7, 2004.
Ginny was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and a former member of the Holy Name Society. She devoted her life to her family and cherished the time she spent with them, especially her grandson, Grayson.
Ginny was employed as a bookkeeper for the Gardner Denver Credit Union. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and taking care of her family.
Survivors include a son, Thomas R. Landwehr (Heather) of Quincy; a grandson, Grayson Lee Landwehr of Quincy; a sister, Audrey Heilwagen of Indianapolis, IN; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Landwehr was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill; a infant son, Thomas W. Landwehr; two brothers, Russel Juette and Donald Juette; and two sisters, Georgene Miller and Arlene Boll.
Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 9:30 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home and at 10:00 in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church by Monsignor Michael Kuse. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 and Monday morning until the time of services at the funeral home.
