Wesley H. Miller

January 28, 1945 ~ December 23, 2014 (age 69)

   Wesley Harold Miller, 69, of Quincy, died at 3:52 p.m. Tuesday (December 23, 2014) in  his home.

   Born January 28, 1945 in Quincy, Wes was the son of Wesley Hazel and Vera Brasfield Miller.  He married Barbara Jean Riley on June 13, 1981 in Quincy. She survives.

   Mr. Miller served his country in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam War.

   An avid deer hunter and trap shooter, Wes loved being outdoors, camping and working with his hands. He was devoted to his family and he especially loved the time he spent with his grandchildren.

   Wes was previously employed as a machinist for Electric Wheel, Gardner Denver, Titan Wheel and Dura Company in Hannibal, Missouri.  He currently was employed at Images Offset Printing in Quincy.

   Survivors include his wife, Barbara; a daughter, Stephanie Buss (Bryan) of Quincy; three grandchildren, Joshua Buss, Stacey Buss and Mitchell Buss; a brother in law, Terry Riley (Diane) of Quincy; two sisters in law, Deborah Esneault (Mark) and Rayola Miller both of Quincy; and many loving nieces and nephews.

   Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Gary Miller; and a brother in law, Richard Riley.

   Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home.  Burial with Military Honors by Quincy American Legion Post 37 and the Naval Funeral Honors Detail will be in Sunset Cemetery in Quincy.

   Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 and Wednesday morning until the time of services at the funeral home.

   Memorials may be made to the Blessing Heart and Vascular Center.
