Verda M. Johnson, 92, of Quincy, passed away on Wednesday (September 18, 2019) in Sunset Home.
Born on February 5, 1927 in Quincy, Verda was a daughter of George and Anna Rowsey Blivens.
Verda married Marvin D. Masters in Quincy in November 8, 1952; he preceded her in death in 1981. She later married Gene Johnson; he preceded her in death on January 9, 2010.
Verda graduated from Quincy High. She enjoyed crocheting and was known for having an eye for decorating skills. She worked at Motorola for a number of years before retiring to raise her family.
She is survived by a daughter, Cheryl Noble of Quincy; three sons, James Masters, Jeff Masters both of Quincy and Calvin Masters (Kathy) of Ottumwa, Iowa; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and one sister, Alice Wright of Quincy.
Verda was preceded in death by her parents and both husbands; and several brothers and sisters.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
